PIctures from Lex

Not a lot has been going on, but I thought I'd add pictures from the 4th and a few other things. :) Some of these I put on facebook too.

I need to practice apparently. I did awful.

This is Leah. She's in my nursery class and her mom wanted us to babysit for an hour or two. Leah wouldn't play with me at ALL, even though she plays with me on Sundays. She just wanted to play with Marc. Story of my life.

Leah's little sister Emry. At least she liked me. :)

Surprise visit from Kristie! :)

Love Scott's face. :)

Mom this picture was specifically for you. They were outside talking and they saw weeds and just couldn't help themselves. :)

Bug collection! 33 bugs total.

At preschool we decided to paint with fish. Real fish. It was so gross!!!!

Yard Work

The mystery of these odd looking chickens is solved. They are not wild. They are the next door neighbors chickens and he has about 42 of them. They love to come over and make a mess of the shrub bed bark. We got it all cleaned up just to come back a few days later and it was a huge mess again.
Kristie and her sweet kids came to help with yard work at Grandma and Grandpa's on Monday. We got so much done and  we were so glad to have such happy and hard workers.
We picked up sticks under all the trees.
Each of the kids took a turn trimming the bushes around the court house.
Maddie stayed very focused on getting all the weeds out of Grandma's flowerbed. Thanks for your help Maddie.
Clara worked hard at getting all those pinecones picked up!!
Kristie is good at pulling all those weeds.
These two had a great time taking the big sticks over to the big boys.
Eleanor did a great job helping with Hazel.  Thank you for all the help.  We got so much work done and it was so fun to all be working together.
We had to cool off after all that hard work.  We went up to the Rexburg splash pad to get wet and have fun.

We had a great day!

Cousin Time

It was so fun to have so many families at our house for the holiday weekend.  We had Jeff's family stay at our house and Alexis and Marc.  That was such a fun treat.  Kristie's, Justin's and Tracen's families were in and out of here all weekend long.  It was great to spend time together. Thank you so much for everyone that came to visit.  We loved having you all here.
 Love popsicles on hot days.
Got to love the Menan 4th of July parade.
These 2 little girls had so much fun in the pool.  I think they went through 4 or 5 outfits a day. They just kept jumping in the pool to play for awhile and never worried about going to get a swimsuit on.
Jumping on the tramp is always so much fun when the dads come out to play.  Marc was awesome to spend lots of time on the tramp too.

Before and After

Cool Kids!

Scott and I were finally able to work on our project on the side of the house.  Scott was able to take a week off work and we got it done.  Scott has some great skills when it comes to putting together some amazing landscaping.  In addition to this shrub bed we also planted 9 trees and planted about 18 dogwoods along the back fence.  We had blisters on our hands by the end of the week with all the digging we did.

Good Job Scott!

Yellowstone

A few weeks ago we went to Yellowstone as a family.  It was such a fun trip. It was the end of June and the weather was crazy. It was warm in the morning but by the afternoon it was windy and hailing on us. It was a very fun family trip.

The buffalo caused  the traffic to back up because they were just heading down the middle of the road. The kids thought this was the coolest thing ever to see the buffalo so close to the car.
Bored with shopping in West Yellowstone

July 4

Other phones got better night pictures of the fireworks

The Stewarts like to get up at 5:30 and go fishing sometimes and they dragged me out of bed too.  This was the morning of the 4th on the South Fork. Melissa and her Mom helped us drop off a car downstream and then her dad, brothers and I floated for about 4 hours of it.

Fly fishing - I caught one
